About NBH

Noah-Baptiste (NBH) is a German-French contemporary artist, born in 2000, who places the human being at the very center of his creative practice. Having been exposed to diverse forms of expression in art and literature from an early age, he discovered both the inherent strengths and the profound inadequacies of human existence. This early immersion fostered a lasting desire to create authentic art, primarily through paintings that focus on the figurative representation of individuals.

His artistic inquiry revolves around the invisible facets of the human condition, specifically the internal turmoil and fragmentation of the self. Strong emotions directly guide his selection of forms and colors, while his inspiration is derived from the meticulous observation of interpersonal interactions and a deliberately induced, strategic depersonalization. The path to each finished work leads through the hidden secrets and imperfections of nature, ultimately reaching a point where human existence appears to dissolve.

The paintings of NBH retell the narrative of humanity by enabling an emotional shift in perspective. They give voice to the invisible, capturing that which must be sensed and felt rather than merely seen. Noah-Baptiste is currently pursuing a degree in Fine Arts at the Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft in Alfter, near Bonn.
